Lady Hester

If you haven’t tried a Lady Hester sourdough donut, then we highly recommend you make a trip to their newly opened store to get your hands on one!

Plus, their new store offers up loads more treats and new savoury options to satisfy your taste buds. The display cabinet will delight with sandwiches, cakes, and morsels like their Lemingtons, a sponge filled with their preserved lemon curd and coated in lemon cream glaze and tossed in coconut.

The donuts that have made Lady Hester famous are made in small batches that take 48 hours to make, with lots of love and care in each one. The donuts are filled with a mix of decadent Persian inspired flavours. The team mix up the flavours depending on what is in season.

Sisters Erin and Loren started their business back in 2014 at a number of market stalls and the help of a sourdough starter.

After years of trading at the Farm Gate Market and other markets throughout the state, they are now opening up their own store in Battery Point. Don’t fear, they will also still be trading at Farm Gate Market on Sundays for all of your donut needs.

The name Lady Hester? Named after a rebellious English aristocrat and one of the first female adventurers to travel through the Middle East.

This new store is located at 52 Sandy Bay Road, Battery Point and open 9.30 am – 3.30 pm Wednesday to Friday and 9.30 am to 2.30 pm on Saturdays.
