Hobart’s floral scene continues to grow and thrive, with Florage joining a talented community of florists bringing beauty and creativity to our city.

Florage has been quietly reshaping Tasmania’s floral landscape, with a steadfast commitment to sustainability and design-led floristry. Founded with the vision of becoming the state’s premier eco-conscious florist and hamper curator, the boutique has flourished under the new owners Andre and Tom, a duo whose global experience has found a natural home in Tasmania.

After years spent abroad, Tom and Andre made the decision to settle in Tasmania, taking the reins of Florage in Launceston. Their backgrounds – Tom’s two decades in corporate finance across Hong Kong and Singapore, and Andre’s extensive career in luxury retail with names like Gucci, Chanel, and Burberry -bring a refined sensibility to their craft. A qualified architect and interior designer, Andre has imbued the boutique with a striking aesthetic, where polished concrete floors set the stage for carefully curated interiors and artfully composed floral arrangements.

Now, with the opening of their new midtown Hobart store in November 2024, Florage brings its signature sustainable floristry to the heart of the city. Their ethos – prioritising locally sourced blooms and creative, seasonally driven designs – aligns with the growing demand for conscious consumption. Customers can bring in their own vases to be refilled, a small but meaningful gesture towards reducing waste.

Produce

Florage’s flower selection shifts as frequently as the Tasmanian weather, ensuring a fresh and ever-evolving collection sourced from local growers. Many of these relationships were forged at the Farm Gate Market, where Tom and Andre have become regulars, deepening their connection to the local producer community. With a broader reach now possible from their new location, they’re able to deliver their signature arrangements across Tasmania, ensuring more people can enjoy their distinctive, thoughtful approach to floristry.

As proud members of the Sustainable Floristry Network, Florage is committed to ethical floristry practices that honour both people and the planet. This means working closely with local growers who prioritise regenerative farming, eliminating floral foam entirely, and embracing circular design principles to minimise waste. Each arrangement a thoughtful expression of sustainability, ensuring beauty doesn’t come at the expense of our environment.

Hampers & Homewares

Beyond floral arrangements, Florage offers a gorgeous, curated collection of homewares, bringing style and elegance to any space. Their selection of vases is one of the best in town—ranging from timeless classics to contemporary statement pieces—ensuring you’ll find the perfect vessel to showcase your blooms.

Florage also curate premium Tasmanian gift hampers, well known as Tasmanian Hamper Co with delivery Australia-wide. They partner with exceptional winemakers, fine food artisans, and talented creators from across Tasmania. Each product in the hampers has been handpicked and thoughtfully paired to offer the best possible taste and texture combinations. You will find featured, award-winning wines from the Tamar Valley and Freycinet wine regions, locally brewed beers, champion cheeses, handmade chocolates and fudges, artisan quince pastes, mustards, and natural organic products. These hampers showcase the best of the island’s rich culinary landscape, making a perfect gift for any occasion.

“Our vision is to deliver happiness, joy and comfort every day to our customers, our suppliers and their loved ones.

We want to have less impact on the environment, and we love helping people make other people happy and we are passionate about our part in sharing the love of flowers and food!”
