Wednesday 26 February 2025 | Information and Education Session with Guest Speaker Mary Mallett - Interim Disability Commissioner

We are excited to welcome Interim Disability Commissioner Mary Mallett to our first Information and Education Session. Mary is leading work to establish the new Office of the Disability Commissioner; including to scope the Commissioner’s role and functions, the resources required, legislative framework, and relationship to other statutory offices in Tasmania as well as connections with the disability community and sector.

The session will be live-streamed via Zoom, where Mary will provide an update on the Disability Commissioner’s office, explain the Commissioner’s powers, and discuss how the office can offer advice and support. A Q&A session will follow, giving the audience an opportunity to share their thoughts and ask Mary questions.
