A Love Asunder (Louise Denson and Elly Hoyt) @ CLARENCE JAZZ FESTIVAL 2025

Award-winning musicians Elly Hoyt (vox) and Louise Denson (piano) present new work exploring the poignant love story of convicts Alice and John McKinlay. Featuring an all star lineup of local jazz legends including Spike Mason (sax), Charlie McCarthy (violin), Tom Robb (dr) and Hamish Houston (bass).

This is the story of Alice and John McKinlay, a young Irish couple who struggled and despaired at the height of the potato famine. They stole two geese.
