Carols in the Park includes free kids and youth activities (craft, face-painting, Zorb balls, etc), live Christmas carols, and free food and drinks, including barista-made coffee.

The event aims to create an atmosphere where all people from Hobart feel welcome and experience genuine love and community. The event includes the Mandarin-speaking North Hobart population (3% of the overall population) through multi-lingual advertising and Mandarin sections within the carolling.
