Join us for a relaxed evening of conversation with David Ashley Kerr, the new Head of Art at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG).
In this intimate setting at The Kentish Hotel in the heart of Oatlands, Ash will share insights into his role at TMAG, the Tasmanian State Art Collection, and the ways in which landscape, place, and identity are represented in visual culture.
David Ashley Kerr is the new Head of Art at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery. Ash's collaborative approach to curatorial practice is informed by formative experiences in site activation and cross-disciplinary projects in Melbourne's thriving ARI (Artist-Run Institution) scene from 2011-2015, and later in Germany working with curator led project spaces, residencies and arts NGO's across the EU in Northern and Central Europe from 2015-2023 in a wide range of academic and curatorial contexts.
