Honour is a one day International Women's Day gathering and concert hosted by Karen Knowles at Bruny Wild Café on North Bruny Island, Tasmania / Lunawanna alonnah overlooking Dennes Point beach.
Presented with support from bruny NORTH (the home of arts-led slow tourism on the island) this experiential event invites participants to pause, soften and reconnect through ceremony, community, music and nature.
The day begins with a Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country and guests then gather for conversation, morning tea and a guided walk led by a local ranger, sharing insights into the island's landscapes and history. A very special International Women's Day lunch prepared by Bruny Wild follows, shared among flowers and open conversation. In the afternoon Karen presents an intimate concert joined by her guitarist performing songs and compositions on the theme of this special day.
Throughout the day there will be reflective sessions exploring creativity, listening and the feminine qualities present in all of us. The day concludes with a sharing circle, honouring the insights and the spaciousness created together.
The "Honour" experiential event is a day to pause, to soften, to breathe (fully!), reflect and reconnect with yourself and with this truly remarkable place.
