Choral music from the 14th to 21st Centuries
Join us to experience the magnificent acoustic of St Mary's Cathedral for a moving evening of choral music. Four exquisite choirs interweave beautiful music from throughout the centuries, inspired by the folding together of four pieces of parchment to make a 'quire'.
Sublime choirs from around Australia will share the stage with the outstanding Catalonian choir, Veus – Cor Infantil Amics de la Unió.
Works performed will include music representing each choir's diverse repertoire, featuring an array of inspiring and uplifting music by contemporary composers from Spain, Sweden, Korea, Indonesia and Australia, together with choral favourites from Arvo Pärt, John Taverner and Mendelssohn.
Featured choirs:
-The Australian Voices, directed by John Rotar
