Maltstock Down Under is a not-for-profit, community-led whisky gathering making its Australian debut in Tasmania. Hosted at Ratho Farm in the Central Highlands, the three-day event brings together whisky lovers from across Australia and overseas for an intimate, immersive experience focused on sharing, education, and connection.
Inspired by the cult-favourite European Maltstock events, attendees participate in guided tastings, distillery visits, informal presentations, shared meals, and evenings around the bonfire with live music. Attendance is strictly limited, preserving the relaxed, communal atmosphere the event is known for internationally.
Maltstock Down Under showcases Tasmanian, Australian, New Zealand, and international whisky, while highlighting Tasmania's renowned food, produce, and whisky culture.
