Join "Platypus Guardian" Pete Walsh for a stroll along the Hobart Rivulet, where you'll discover Pete's platypus-spotting strategies, and with a bit of luck, spot one for yourself. Learn about platypus habitats and behaviour, the challenges they face in the waterway, and what we can do to help protect their environment.
This is an easy walk along a level trail, which is generally wheelchair accessible. However, please note we may occasionally walk along sloping ground to get closer to the water. Participants can stay on the main trail, but those with limited mobility should be aware they might miss small sections of the tour.
This tour is designed for families with children. An adults-only platypus walk is also available on the same day at 2:30pm, leaving from a different location.
