Rachael Windress, Fine Art photographer presents a solo exhibition you will not forget, bringing back the traditional techniques of fine art photography in our digital age, through the creation of non-figurative abstract photography.
She utilises the power of her camera while working in a controlled environment. Rachael creates these photographs incorporating different objects, lights, liquids and dyes to produce dynamic non-figurative and intriguing images. Her use of traditional methods removes the need to use post production tools like Photoshop.
RAW exhibition is about Rachael's personal journey of discovery with photography.
Rachael finds inspiration in the simplest objects and notices beauty in these which most people don't. Then exploring something so mundane and creating something so unique.
The relationship she has with the object, lights, and her camera, tells a unique story of what she sees through her lens.
Every photo captures a moment in time.
Rachael hopes to inspire her audience and make them question the role of the camera as a tool for creativity.
"I believe that with the advent of digital technology we are slowly losing the art of traditional photography. I am very passionate about my photography and thoroughly enjoy the challenge of creating dynamic images without having to rely on computer software."
