A celebration of young voices - Night 1
Join young singers from Tasmanian school and community youth choirs as they sing with joy in our annual combined choir event with guest conductor Annie Kwok alongside The Tasmanian Youth Orchestra.
Additionally, each evening's concert will feature guest performances from Tasmanian and visiting youth choirs.
Young Tasmania Sings brings together youth choirs in a cooperative, non-competitive endeavour. It also:
-Includes choirs from all school systems alongside community youth choirs
-Provides an opportunity for over 400 young singers ages 10 to 14 to work together with a visiting expert director and share the outcomes with family, friends and the community
-Creates the opportunity for young singers to perform with a full orchestra as an integral part of the program
-Demonstrates pathways for young singers through the inclusion of choral items from a range of guest choirs.
