Suitable for music & story lovers of all ages 🤍

NZ Best Country Artist Winner and 2 x Golden Guitar nominee, Jenny Mitchell, is a Melbourne based storyteller from the deep south of New Zealand. With powerful songs wrapped in equal parts grace and grit, Jenny recently supported Kasey Chambers on a 32 date tour of Australia and released her highly acclaimed album Forest House via Melbourne based label Civilians.

"Every so often, an artist emerges who has everything it takes to reach the pinnacle of country music success. Jenny Mitchell is a star.” Country Music Capital News

Forest House was created in a house in a remote, rural region of Aotearoa New Zealand. Surrounded by native bush and open skies, Jenny and her team built a home studio and spent a week curating an album that is full of warmth, truth and family harmonies - think the best of The Chicks + Norah Jones. Forest House is a career defining album that shares stories of experiences often kept behind closed doors, tied together by the strength and honesty of the final track; Heart Like A House.

“My favourite album of 2025,” Beccy Cole, ABC Saturday Night Country
“A sublime slice of folk,” the AU Review

No stranger to the road, Jenny was awarded a scholarship from the Academy of Country Music to perform at Nashville’s iconic AmericanaFest in 2024 and has toured Australia and New Zealand extensively over the last decade. Her 2022 album Tug of War was described by Rolling Stone as an album, “worthy of every award it will inevitably collect” and featured the pivotal release of the 2022 APRA NZ Best Country Song Trouble Finds a Girl; a powerful and direct response to the mistreatment of women in the music industry.
