The Huon Valley Studio Art Trail is one of Tasmania's most anticipated annual arts events and is a blend of a creative journey with the spectacular scenery of Southern Tasmania.

Over 3 days more than 60 artists and makers open their doors, offering a rare opportunity to step inside private studios and hidden workshops granting exclusive behind-the-scene access to meet the artists and makers, ask questions about creative processes, attend live demonstrations and watch artisans transform raw materials into art. Open studios will showcase everything from oil painting, pastels, watercolours and drawings through to ceramics, jewellery, metal craft, instrument making, furniture, spoon carving, sculpture, textiles and natural fabric dying - the range goes on.

Stretching over 150 kilometres, the self-drive trail winds through the stunning landscapes of the Huon Valley and Far South from pristine beaches and quaint country roads to rolling hills filled with green orchards and the tranquil Huon River.

Between studio stops visitors can indulge in cool climate wines, organic cider and exceptional farm-to-table dining at local bakeries and cafes - a feast for the senses!

Join us for an incredible journey as you explore our Southern Tasmania paradise. Connect with our people and places as you meet the makers, hear their stories and collect lasting memories that will make the Huon Valley Art Trail a truly unforgettable experience.
