Taking place in Tasmania's Top Small Tourism Town, once again we will be celebrating the bountiful harvest of the Coal River Valley at the second annual CRAVE Harvest Festival.
As a nominated wine region, there is, of course, a focus on the award-winning wineries, but also distillers, brewers, food producers, growers, entertainers, artists and makers of the Coal River Valley.
To take advantage of the last days of daylight savings, we will start the festivities on Friday evening, with fun and entertainment for the whole family from 4pm-9pm, including Makebelieve's Mrs Bee, the Coal River Ukelele Mob and other local offerings, including The Rusticators. Yesterday's Gentlemen will be bringing us home on Friday night with their pumpin' jazz and blues.
The second day of the festival will start at midday on Saturday and run through until 9pm. You can stay for lunch and dinner and be entertained the whole day by fabulous local musicians including Isaac Westwood, Cameron Tapp, Ange Boxall and Pete Cornelius Band. Yep - anyone would think this was a music festival!
To fire up the brain cells, we have free masterclasses and cooking demonstrations, and you can also get some retail therapy at our Pantry and Market marquees.
And there will be plenty to keep the kids entertained. Faeries, face-painting, Sands Family Circus playtime, and much more!
